Transfer Incoming? Jack Grealish LEFT OUT of Club World Cup, Future in Doubt

1 Min Read

Jack Grealish’s Manchester City future has been thrown into fresh doubt after he was omitted from the club’s 2025 FIFA Club World Cup squad.

The England international, once the most expensive British transfer in history, has struggled to find consistent form under Pep Guardiola and now faces a pivotal summer.

Despite being fit, Grealish was left out of the squad heading to the United States, where City will face Wydad AC, Al Ain FC, and Juventus in Group G.

While the club insists the decision was tactical, the exclusion of such a high-profile figure has raised eyebrows. With two years left on his contract, sources suggest City may be open to loaning the winger, especially given his hefty wages.

Meanwhile, new signings Rayan Ait Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, and Rayan Cherki have all made the cut, signaling a new chapter under Guardiola.

Kevin De Bruyne has also been left out, though his contract expires later this month. Grealish remains keen to fight for his place, but the writing may be on the wall.

With Thomas Tuchel reportedly interested and England’s 2026 World Cup squad looming, a move could revive his career — and fast.
