AC Milan have signed Pervis Estupiñán from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth £17 million plus bonuses. The Ecuadorian international will sign a five-year contract until 2030.
The 27-year-old becomes the first Ecuadorian to play for the Rossoneri and is expected to step into the void left by Theo Hernández’s departure to Al-Hilal.
Estupiñán made 104 appearances for Brighton after joining from Villarreal in 2022, scoring five goals and providing crucial width and dynamism from the left flank.
A key figure in Brighton’s historic 2022–23 campaign, which saw the club qualify for European football for the first time, Estupiñán featured in 34 games last season as the Seagulls secured an eighth-place finish in the Premier League.
Born in Esmeraldas, Estupiñán started his career with LDU Quito before stints in Spain, notably at Osasuna and Villarreal, where he lifted the 2021 Europa League title. Since making his senior debut in 2019, he has earned 48 caps for Ecuador.
Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler praised the full-back’s contribution, saying, “Pervis brought quality and professionalism to our team. We respect his wish for a new challenge and wish him the best in Milan.”
