Sky Sports is set to revolutionize Premier League coverage this season with the launch of its new ‘Multiview’ feature, allowing viewers to watch up to four live matches simultaneously on a single screen.
The innovation debuts this weekend as part of an expanded broadcast deal that will see the network air at least 215 live matches, including every Sunday 2pm kick-off for the first time.
Previously, fans were restricted to one live match in the busy Sunday slot, but with multiple games often taking place due to clubs’ European commitments, the frustration of channel-hopping or missing key moments will now be a thing of the past.
Multiview will also be available for midweek fixtures when games overlap and can be accessed via Sky TV, Now TV and the Sky Sports app.
Sky’s director of football, Gary Hughes, described the change as a way to “end the flick,” promising dynamic coverage that jumps between games to capture the most important action in real time.
Alongside this, Sky will introduce “Extra Time,” a new Sunday evening analysis show hosted by Jamie Carragher, rounding off what promises to be the broadcaster’s most comprehensive and interactive Premier League season yet.
The move marks a significant step in bringing Premier League broadcasting closer to the fast-paced, multi-game formats popular in American sports, such as the NFL’s RedZone.
By giving fans the choice to follow every twist and turn without missing a moment, Sky aims to redefine how supporters experience matchdays from home.
