Australia and India drew the 3rd Test at the Gabba. All credit goes to rain. The rain played most of the time on the 4th day of the Test. Australia scored 445 runs with a huge contribution from their top-order batsman.
Travis Head scored a massive 152 with Steve Smith, who also scored 101. Furthermore, Alex Carey also played a major role by netting 70 runs.
On the flip side, Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling ace of the Indian Cricket Team, once again proved to be the key factor in the game. He once again proved instrument by taking away six wickets for 76 runs.
India replied with 260 runs, in which KL Rahul scored 84 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja scored 77 runs. Australia’s bowling was led by Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, who took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
In the end, Australia declared at 89 for 7, putting India on an ambitious target, but the rain did not allow India to reach a distance of reaching the target, and thus, both got staled at eight runs with no loss.
This match showcased both team’s strengths and resilience despite the weather challenges. The series remains competitive as players look forward to the next encounters.
