Thomas Frank Appointed as New Tottenham Head Coach Until 2028

Tottenham Hotspur have named Thomas Frank as their new head coach, handing the former Brentford boss a contract until 2028. The 51-year-old Dane replaces Ange Postecoglou, who was controversially dismissed earlier this month despite guiding Spurs to Europa League glory.

Frank arrives after a remarkable seven-year spell at Brentford, where he oversaw their promotion to the Premier League in 2021 and established them as a competitive top-flight side. His reputation for tactical flexibility, data-driven decision-making, and player development earned admiration across English football.

Spurs endured a dismal league campaign, finishing 17th, but secured a Champions League berth through their Europa League triumph. Frank now faces the challenge of restoring consistency and identity to a side that has cycled through four permanent managers in as many years.

He is joined at Tottenham by assistant Justin Cochrane, fitness chief Chris Haslam, analyst Joe Newton, and Andreas Georgson from Manchester United. Brentford have thanked Frank for his “incredible impact,” while Spurs fans hope he can instil stability and structure.

With aerial dominance, smart attacking decisions, and discipline hallmarks of his Brentford side, Frank brings a contrasting style to Postecoglou — one that Spurs hope will mark the start of a successful new era.
